Leadership
Advanced Sheetmetal and Mechanical (ASM) is owned by Joey Cohn. Joey was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, and is a graduate of The Georgia Institute of Technology (GO JACKETS!!!!). He spent the first portion of his career working for The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, and still operates ASM by many of the very same principals and theories that have been successful for over 100 years in commercial construction.
Joey lives in Durham, CT with his wife and two children. He loves the outdoors, and can be found fishing in the Long Island Sound most weekends during the summer. A strong believer in technology, he holds his Small Unmanned Aircraft License added onto his Private Pilot certificate (ASES, ASEL). When necessary, Joey can be found performing tasks ranging from detailing in AutoCAD to welding stainless steel.
Joey Cohn has never believed in doing things a certain way because “that is the way it has always been done.”
ASM is constantly focused on always meeting the contractual obligations of the customer while fulfilling the needs of the consumer.
We balance the following:
Schedule
To only focus on completing a project as quickly as possible, a project will inherently be excessively dangerous and costly.
Cost
A project completed for the least possible cost will suffer not only in quality, but schedule and Safety will lack the attention needed.
Safety
While Safety is ALWAYS paramount, if too great an emphasis is placed on ONLY safety, all other aspects will suffer.
